South Tyrolean holiday in the Isarco Valley: holiday in front of an alpine background
In the heart of South Tyrol directly on the old Brenner road between Bressanone and Chiusa there is the Hotel and Restaurant Schoberhof in the Isarco Valley. This Alpine region of South Tyrol has every season a very special appeal. The summits are pure and untouched. The mountain landscape invites you to varied outdoor activities, in front of a high alpine scenery. Rafting, hiking, climbing and paragliding are among the most popular leisure activities between May and October. In spring walks and bike tours pass through blossoming orchards and green vineyards. While the peaks of the mighty Two thousand are still covered with snow, the meadows at an average altitude show already a tender green colour.
The variety of an autumn and winter holiday in the Isarco Valley
In glorious color and contrast, the medium and high mountain ranges present in autumn. While snow-capped mountain summits proclaim the approaching winter, the deciduous forests shine in colors. The culmination of a South Tyrol holiday is the traditional cattle drive, when the festively decorated cows make their way from the Alps to the winter quarters. From December, the ski lifts and cable cars run in Isarco Valley at full speed and the sunny slopes attract skiers and snowboarders. The closest ski area is located above the town of Brixen and is located 12 kilometers from the Schoberhof. There are also wonderful natural toboggan runs and numerous double cross-country skiing.
