Winter holiday in the Isarco Valley: snowy landascapes in front of a high alpine scenery

In the cold season a romantic mood sets on the South Tyrolean Isarco Valley. The mountain peaks are covered with a white hood and snow-covered forests are crossed by winter hiking trails. Only 12 kilometers from the Schoberhof there is the Brixen mountain house Plose, where in the winter months snowshoeing is offered. In addition in your winter holiday you can take part in a guided ski tour offered by the tourist office Brixen. With the Villanderer Alm at Meransen, the Lüsner Alm and Alm Villnösser there are further interesting winter hiking areas in the neighbourhood.

Ski area Brixen-Plose: ski fun on well prepared ski runs

High above the city of Brixen  there is the varied ski resort Brixen Plose with 43 perfectly groomed kilometers of slopes. Eight kilometers of slopes are marked as challenging black runs, and the remaining 35 km of slopes have a mild to moderate level of difficulty. In the “Kinderland” the youngest skiers learn under professional guidance the secure stand on skis and in the adjoining “skikindergarten” trained professionals take care of the little dudes on an hourly basis. While parents enjoy challenging runs, the little ones are entertained with fun and games in the snow. The ski resort Brixen Plose has the longest run in South Tyrol. A slope with a length of new kilometers, the so-called “Trametsch”, leads down from the mountain into the valley.
